We know that navigating your heart health journey can come with many questions, and we’re here to provide answers. Below are some of the most common questions women like you ask about Systole Health and how our virtual group care works.
Systole Health is a group-based virtual care service that helps women improve their heart and metabolic health. We offer medical care and coaching, making it easier for you to manage conditions like high blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and heart disease.
Group virtual care involves up to 8 patients meeting virtually with a physician and certified health coach. These sessions focus on education, peer support, and personalized care to help you manage your health. You'll benefit from expert guidance and shared experiences with others going through similar challenges. Between sessions, you will have access to your care team and group through a secure app and platform that allows for group messaging, goal setting, and health data monitoring.
We specialize in managing cardiometabolic conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity. Additionally, we help patients optimize their heart health after experiencing events like a heart attack or heart failure.
Cardiometabolic health refers to the interconnection between heart health, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and excess weight. These factors are all linked, and managing them together is key to preventing heart disease, diabetes, and other serious health issues.
Our core program lasts 6 weeks, with an option for bimonthly maintenance afterward to continue supporting your long-term health goals.
We are working on getting in-network with various payors. In the meantime, we offer a discounted cash pay price to make our services as accessible as possible.
Yes, Systole Health’s physicians can prescribe medications for patients in Florida and Massachusetts as part of your treatment plan. This includes common medications such as those for blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes management. We also prescribe GLP-1 medications when clinically appropriate to help with weight management and other metabolic conditions.
Currently, Systole can only prescribe medications in Massachusetts and Florida, where we are licensed. If you are located in another state, we offer a 6-week non-prescribing coaching program that focuses on education, care navigation, and lifestyle changes to help you manage your cardiometabolic health. We work closely with your primary care provider or specialists to ensure your care is coordinated.
Systole Health stands out because we offer a group-based care model that emphasizes a holistic approach to heart health. Unlike other programs that may focus solely on individual issues like weight or diabetes, we address the full spectrum of cardiometabolic health, integrating lifestyle changes and peer support into your care. Our group format fosters community and learning from shared experiences, giving you a more comprehensive health experience.
Unlike traditional healthcare, Systole Health offers group visits where you can meet with a doctor and others with similar health concerns. This allows you to learn from your peers, get timely care, and feel supported throughout your journey. Our holistic focus ensures you’re managing your overall heart health, not just individual conditions.
Our group sessions are led by a board-certified physician, often a cardiologist, and a certified health coach. Together, they provide expert medical advice and practical lifestyle tips to help you manage your health holistically.
Absolutely. Systole Health works in conjunction with your primary care provider. We provide reports to your doctor on your progress and any key medical updates, ensuring your care remains coordinated and comprehensive.
